Juicing For a Healthy Hair !

Have you heard a quote that says "You are what you eat" ??? Well, enough said, now start by doing something that will benefit you in a positive way, you can't go wrong with this one, JUICING.

Here is a simple recipe that will get you started :

Bell Pepper, Carrots, and Spinach Juice
This is a very refreshing drink, the amount of each vegetable depends on how much you want, for a regular glass you can juice 1 Bell Pepper, 4 Carrots, and 1/4 of a bunch of Spinach. Add vegetables to a juice extractor, and VOILA you will have natural and healthy juice that will help you have beautiful hair ...

Healthy Hair Tips

To some of you may sound "Yucky, Icky, Nasty" but the truth is that if you want healthy and silky hair DO NOT wash it daily. If you wash it daily you are depriving your scalp of its essential oils. Your hair becomes brittle and shampoo might dry your scalp. You also want to avoid using too many styling hair products, remember that there are lots of chemicals in products unless you use natural or organic. Your hair reflects your personality but it also reflects your general health, so healthy eating is an important key. The most important thing is to not brush often, even worse if you brush when wet, if you brush vigorously you are hair is more prone to breaking and hard brushing tends to scratch your scalp. Don't forget to keep scheduled appointments with your hairstylist to maintain your hair free of split-ends.

"One'n Only" Argan Oil

Argan Oil Treatment is a non-greasy, alcohol-free formula that is absorbed instantly into the hair, creating brilliant shine without leaving any oily residue. Smoothes the cuticle for silky, conditioned and healthy-looking hair. Helps protect against damage caused by chemicals, excessive heat from styling and environmental factors. Eliminates frizz.

I wish I had bought a bigger bottle, as I love this stuff ! I apply while my hair is wet or damp, from ends working it up, and after that, I blow dry it. This oil prevents the heat from damaging it. I don't need a large amount and my hair is long ! My hair looks shiny all day, and it feels light and silky. You can find it at any beauty supply store, I bought mine from Sally's Beauty Supply, 3.4 fl. oz. for $8.99 + tax.

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Fragrance (Parfum), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Yellow 11 (CI 47000), Red 17 (CI 26100)

What shampoos have you used ???

I've been asked many times, what shampoo do I use ??? There is no secret, I use regular shampoo, what brand ??? "Pantene" . Yes, I have used many other product brands throughout the years. Of course when I was a baby, my mom probably used Johnson's Baby Shampoo . From the ones that I remember, here are some I've used:

Thermasilk, which I loved but unfortunately, I couldn't find it at the store anymore.

Herbal Essences,  I love all the different fruity smells.

Suave, my mom used to buy this when I was a little girl.

Garnier Fructis, this is a really good shampoo, I liked it because it will leave my hair very soft and manageable.

Head & Shoulders, all of a sudden I started having scalp dryness, and this shampoo helped alot !

I'm pretty sure my "shampoo list" will keep growing, because it's recommended to change shampoo every 3 sets of bottles. A new shampoo will break down buildup and the new conditioner will deposit new elements to layers of the hair shaft. Plus, that way you will not get bored of the same smell all the time, if you have a new shampoo and conditioner you can enjoy a new smell too !!!

Welcome to my Blog !

I would like to welcome you to my blog, here you will find the most interesting things about hair, how-to's, hair accessories, and much more. I want to start by introducing myself, my name is Crisel, I live in California, have two beautiful boys (3 and 6 year old) and a loving husband. I have had long hair most of my life, there have been only a few times when I have cut my hair, most of the time I just trim it to keep it healthy looking. I have donated my hair in the past, to "Locks of Love" . I strongly believe that some of us are fortunate enough to grow beautiful hair, why not donate it for a good cause knowing that you will make someone feel happy !!! I am grateful for what I have, therefore I want someone else to feel the same gratitude ...
